We are Goddard Pride

Gay Straight Alliance, or GSA, is a club that is rapidly growing. It’s where someone can be who they truly are without worrying about judgement

“I feel like it would be a second home for me to be my gay little self,” said Krys McCartney, freshman

GSA is for people who don’t care about how some students identify. For Anya Ortiz, freshman, being an ally is fun, because she can show that not all straight people are mean.

In GSA, people get to hang out with new friends and eat some food while watching some coming out films, students could also go out to movie theaters and watch movies.

“I’m hoping to meet wonderful new friends,” said Ortiz.

The first meeting was on September 5, and there were about 40 people there. Student and club leaders came up with plans for the membership. Plans include volunteering at shelters, and going to Pride Parades and marches.
